Omni La Mansión del Rio Wedding | Leica SL3-S Documentary Photography
A lovely couple from Florida celebrated their intimate wedding in downtown San Antonio, Texas. I had been looking forward to their big day and was excited to finally meet Sandy and Steve. They chose The Courtyard at Omni La Mansión del Río, an open-air garden venue in downtown San Antonio, perfect for small ceremonies and receptions.
The courtyard is known for its romantic Spanish architecture and is often called a “grand hacienda.” Lush tropical plants and Spanish colonial details surround the open-air space. At the end of the ceremony, guests launched paper airplanes toward the couple, which was such a fun moment.
We began in downtown San Antonio‘s Casa Rio for their rehearsal dinner, a well-loved restaurant on the riverwalk. One thing I love about my work is that every wedding brings something new and unique, especially when I return to downtown. My aim is always to tell stories through my camera authentically, without the cheesy, cliche wedding images.
I hope you enjoy these photos. Thank you to Sandy and Steve for letting me capture their special day.
