Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham + Ouisie's Table Wedding Reception | Katie+Martin

Martin and Katie tied the knot at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham, and their reception was at Ouisie’s Table in Houston. We start with a few clicks from their rehearsal dinner at Cafe Ginger in Uptown, Houston. I love this couple, and you can view their engagement session here. The wedding was super unique, multicultural, and with friends and family from all over the country.
Martin and Katie first met in Houston in 2015 through their Catholic and healthcare circles. They reconnected in Spring 2019 as Martin was attending medical school in St. Louis. Katie had just relocated to Houston for her nursing career, and so they developed a long-distance relationship. At first, they bonded over their shared love for literature and food. The friendship grew, and by June of 2019, Martin even traveled interstate to Texas’s warmer climate to see Katie. It was earlier this year that they decided to get married. Quite an amazing love story!
Great to reconnect with Samantha Darr, owner and wedding planner of Soiréebliss! Events, and friend, second shooter, Deji Osinulu.

If you like what you see, reach out! I have a cool English accent; I’m dashing, handsome and funny – so my wife says. Seriously though, I love the craft of photography, I’m a former news photographer and a documentary street photographer. I capture weddings throughout Texas from a fly on the wall perspective. You’ll not notice me. My photos are candid and delightfully artistic with a splash of color and monochrome.
