DESTINATION WEDDING – KATIE + RYAN ~ TERRANEA RESORT, LOS ANGELES

I just returned Sunday from a magnificent oceanside wedding, Terranea Resort, southwest of L.A, California.

Katie and Ryan, both from Houston were engaged at the resort last year, so it made sense to have the wedding there too. And on Saturday they tied the knot.  The  recent rainy weather held out for a gorgeous day and over the three days I was there I photographed their engagement session, rehearsal dinner and of-course the wedding day.

Part 1 is Katie and Ryan’s engagement session. Part 2 (this post) are a few of my favorites from their wedding day.

Katie and Ryan had such wonderful family and friends and boy, did they have a good time!  I thin there were a few sore heads on Sunday morning. The Paos Verdes Peninsula is a a fantastic location and not many words can sum up this L.A hotspot other than just breathtaking. I love California, particularly Pacifica (where my wife and I five years ago spent our honeymoon) and I got to work with my old pal, Adam Swift, an excellent photographer living in L.A. He helped me second shoot and get many of the groom photos and details that I would otherwise of been unable to shoot.
