Sometimes I’ll return to images shot months or years ago and see them in a new light.
As time has moved forward, I can separate myself from the day that enables me to see some images differently. Like this one of Xenia as Fred twirled her on the dance floor. Yes, it’s not technically perfect, but that’s not the point. For me, it elicits the joy that Xenia was feeling at that moment. The movement, swirl and blur, intentional or not, works. And it feels very intimate like you’re right there.
