The Grand Texana Wedding Barn. Phillip moved to Cairo, Egypt in 2014 and in June 2016, Minta moved to Alexandria, Egypt. Both are avid runners.
In December 2016 their paths crossed in Alexandria when the Cairo Runners and Alex Runners were getting ready at the beautiful seaside Corniche.
After the run, Minta overheard a young Egyptian asking Phillip where he was from, and Phillip responded, “America.” Minta spoke up overhearing their conversation, “Me too!” That was how it all started.
And so, here we are in rural Texas, in a most beautiful part during Spring with the wildflowers in full bloom.
The venue, The Grand Texana is a romantic, stress-free, rustic chic barn wedding experience. And it did indeed turn out that way!
I loved working with a wonderful family, her sisters and friends from all over the world. It was like the UN and a microcosm of humanity. Brilliant!
The following is a curated selection of my favorites. Thanks to Stormye, day of wedding coordinator, and granddaughter of the owners and to Deji Osinulu, the second shooter for the day and shot amazing images.
Please leave your love for the couple below in the comments.
Hey! I'm Philip Thomas
All-Inclusive Wedding Day Storytelling
If you like what you see, reach out! I have a cool English accent; I’m dashing, handsome and funny – so my wife says. Seriously though, I love the craft of photography, I’m a former news photographer and a documentary street photographer. I capture weddings throughout Texas from a fly on the wall perspective. You’ll not notice me. My photos are candid and delightfully artistic with a splash of color and monochrome.
